I recently have been working NON-stop on a new song using Acid pro 2.0. I always click SAVE from time to time to assure any unwanted loses. However today, just before i was about to click save, the error window pops up and says ACID will be shut done. This has happened before, so i figured no biggie i'll just reopen it with minimal lose. WELL, WRONG. now the whole song won't open. It says it's missing a RIFF header. and when i checked the ACD. file shows it as zero k. here's the thing, i have the MS WORD tmp. file , with all the code in it. i have a ACID shortcut that reads 506k, and a tmp. file that shows as over 22,000k. And of course i have all the wav. files still. so what can i do to fix this? how can i get ACID to open the song again? Am i S.O.L. ? I've put so much work into it...please ANYONE ...HELP ME!!!! ANY HELP WOULD MAKE ME INDEBTED!! raggaholik@hotmail.com scott garnett |

Unfortunately, your project's been hosed. I've had that happen just once on me when using Pro 2.0. Since SoFo implemented the "backup on save" feature in versions 3.0 and up (and the autosave crash recovery feature in 4.0), it wasn't a problem anymore. Always be sure to make a backup before working on a project. Iacobus |

There is one ray of hope depending on your OS if you have WIN XP and haven't disabled the System Restore. It may be possible to restore to an earlier point and get the project back. I know I thought I'd lost a project due to a power failure was able to restore the system to the last save date and and I got it back...Level Vibes |
