no file names in SF window.

it just says "basic"

how do I identify 2 or more open files with no naming in SF

You can save the files with different names and the name you give it will appear in the top of the window. You also have to have the Wavefile minimized to see the name at the top of the window or you can goto the "Window" menu item and the names will be listed at the bottom of that menu.

If there is a "Title" in the summary info for the file (the INAM summary chunk, if you are versed in riff file structure), it will be displayed instead of the filename.

Take a look at File->Properties->Summary.
