Subject:rgcAudio z3ta+ VSTi in Acid 4: no sound

Hi,
A friend of mine told me about the new rgcAudio Synth called z3ta+, a Waveshaping Synthesizer which extends the capabilities of virtual analog synthesizers by introducing an exclusive Bandlimited Waveshaping technology.
This sounds nice, very nice, so I decided to download the VSTi demo version, which also include a standalone version of this synth.
After doing some nice testing with the standalone version, I decided to load it into acid with some of my previous midi files. I enabled the VSTi and I have NO SOUND coming form it in Acid pro 4.0a.
Can someone can explain me why such a behaviour? It works OK with other synths (FREE Oberon, Quantum or PanzerTank, or Plugsound demo vol.5) and I did all I have to do correctly in acid to make it run and play.
Thanx in advance for your help,
Regards,
jam

PS: my computer is an:

Similar thing happened with a version of refx junox2.

I hope this will be solved in 4.0b!

We have isolated the trouble with z3ta+ (it is expecting audio as input before it will generate output) and have found a fix that will be in an upcoming release. Unfortunatly, this problem was identified and isolated so close to ACID 4.0b's release that it couldn't be included in the update.

Thanx Nate for the information.
I guess I will delay my future command to rgcAudio for this synth. I love this synth and all tested prestes sounds really really great. A friend of mine who bought Spectrasonics Atmosphere recently was amazed by this synth. I'm low in budget so for loud pads and great atmosphers, z3ta+ seems to suit my needs.
The only think I pray for is a future acid pro 4.0c that will xome soon with this issue fixed. Or maybe a 'stand-alone' fix from SoFo?
Anyway, i'm really happy with the new 4.0b!

Good news,

René of rgc:audio software has volunteered to create a version of z3ta+ that does not require audio input so as to allow purchasers to use it in the current release of ACID Pro 4.0. If you have purchased this VST instrument, drop him an email requesting a copy of this and he will get you a version that you can use until the next ACID update is released.

You can email René through his website: http://www.rgcaudio.com/

Hope this gets you up and running!
