Subject:For all M-Audio Delta/Omni Studio owners

I would like to take this time to introduce my self to this forum. I've been watching this forum for a couple of days now and finally decided to join. This looks like the right place to be for learning acid and sharing information. Anyway, I own the Omni Studio, and I use ACID and learning Sonar. Just in case you guys don't know yet, last thursday (December 5th), M-Audio released their latest (non-beta version) driver (Delta_WDM29x10_Pro) that supposedly contains the ACID 4.0 ASIO fix as well as reduced low latency WDM driver for Sonar. This is important to me because the Beta fix didn't have low latency WDM for Sonar and now I get both. It doesn't mention any ACID fixes on the download page, but when I called M-Audio tech support, the tech said that the developers usually write the new drivers to be backward compatible. So I downloaded and installed it last night and it worked great, granted I only played with it for about 20 minutes because I was busy doing other things. I'll play more with it tonight for an extended period of time and see how stable it is. Anyway, let me know how it works for you guys. Good Luck!

I would like to add that there is yet another new driver out here: The Delta 29x12Pro that was posted on Dec 11....damn I hate the way these guys change their minds...

So does this mean the 29x10Pro (that started this thread) and was posted a few days ago is already dust? I don't see it on the download page any more.

Anyone tried the Delta 29x12Pro yet? Or should I dive in?

Hey??! Where are you all getting the newly updated drivers from? I went to their site and I only see the filename "Delta_wdm_510027.exe" as their most recent update! That's the one I downloaded! Is that the same driver as the "delta 29x12Pro"?

Make sure you have the checkbox " Show previous and beta drivers" checked.

Something weird is going on! I don't know why they removed it. I don't even see it as a previous version????? I guess I'll have to contact tech support and find out what the hell is going on around here. At least it's working for me, Delta_wdm_510027.exe didn't for ASIO anyway. If anybody tries the 29X12 driver let us know how it works. My 29X10 is excellent. I guess we'll have to figure it out.

I'm still having some issues with even the latest ASIO drivers for my Delta66. Playback of audio chops a bit and the Classic Windows drivers work much better.

Here's the number for M.Audio tech support:

626-445-8495

No toll-free support, sorry.
