Subject:Monitor Issues -- need help -- why cant i hear myself while i record? Posted by: polevaultking Date:12/10/2002 3:56:30 PM When i am recording using my headset <combined microphone and earphones> i do not hear myself while i record, yet the headphones word when i playback. what do i need to do so i can hear myself while i am recording??

Open up your sound card control panel and make sure you have monitoring enabled. I use the M-audio Omni Studio and it gives me a choice to enable or disable monitoring. Let us know what sound card your using and maybe somebody out there who has the same card you have can help. Again every sound card has it's unique control panel so your gonna have to pray that somebody reading this post has the same one you have. However, any subject of this nature should be covered in the owner's manual. It gotta be a simple click of a mouse to correct this since your sound card is obviously working during playback. Anthony
