Dont use specs - I run a sucsessful buisness choping up cd tracks for little figure skating girls and then put them on tape. I think SF6 Studios like $40 from a retailer (i got mine free with acd 4.0 - i was using sf4.5 xp before) theres a few things its missing but i've never came into a situation where i said "if only i had accoustic mirror" or "my song would be magic with spectrum analysis" u know? the "stuido" ones not bad. dj xsoundz seriously big jump Studio - $40 Full - $250 |

My research has found that instead of dinkin around with a whole bunch of half-assed, well, maybe that's not the right word..uh, let's say that you never know when it might come in handy to have your sound arsenal full of fx...true, some fx you may never use, but then when I put the pedal to the metal, I'm glad there's some horsepower under the hood, instead of just chuggin along...full SF and NOT a cracked version please...you might find some deals...Sweetwater or SF's site...are you a student, educator, etc..? there can be some discounts then..? Mars music has had a goin out of business sale for some time now, if you're one to take advantage of someone else's misfortune; or EBay...sometimes there's "crossover" discounts as well... |

Start with Studio. If you want all the bells and whistles later you already have an upgrade path. I used XP for two or three years before getting the full version, which I love. Did the same with VF --> VV. As I said in an earlier post, Sonic Foundry's strategy of offering feature-packed entry level options with an attractive upgrade path works. |
