You can use the Preset Manager to save and restore your DX effect presets and chains quickly and easily. It is available for installation from the splash screen of your installation CD-ROM, or on the download page for your online-purchased software.

As for an online preset-trading community, I do not know that one currently exists. Anyone?

Nate

ok I'm still wondering if there's a place on the internet where people actually do trade plug in chains ...

not wanting to flame you, but i wonder what the actual use of sharing chains could be? all chains i've bothered to save include for example EQ's, compressors and delays set up for specific wave files. how would this chain benefit you if you have a completely different file and mix? wouldn't you have to change all settings again to fit your own wave file?

well...

for example i have been creating chains and effects to fit certain tempos, and saved em like this

"eq+flange130bpm+delay65bpm"

if you would load that preset it would match the tempo 120 bpm right away and you could see it in the lil window...without calculatin stuff

or maybe some people have created wicked effect combinations that just sound wicked and can then be tweaked and adjusted to fit other people's projects...
