Am I missing something or are tinme markers only for working with video?

Is there any other uses for them?

uhm when you specify markers, they have a number...and then you can use the number keys on your keyboard to tell acid where to start playing...that way you can also check "live" which parts of a song go together...say marker 1 is at the beginning of verse 1, marker 2 at the beginning of a different version for a verse n marker 3 is at the beginning of the chorus...then you can hit play n press 1-1-3-2 or 1-2-1-3 ---

i also use markers like this :
i have a friend who doesnt know how to work with acid...but he wanted to tell me where he thinks the snare has to go...so i set acid up to "looped play" n let him hit the M key whenever there oughta be a snare hit...then i painted in the snares at the markers...pretty neat, huh

They're mainly for scoring video, but also can be used for other things like making notes. They're also not numbered as the plain-vanilla markers are (though additional standard markers won't be numbered after reaching 0 (zero)). Time markers are also locked to absolute time, not beats as the standard markers are. (That means time markers will shift to stay in sync with video during a tempo change.)
