It it possible to install both Acid Pro 3.0 and Acid Xpress 3.0 on the same computer (I mean, two different folders and shortcuts) ? I've tried but the installer wants to update Pro 3.0 to Xpress 3.0... The 8-Packs seem to be compatible with any Acid version. Which tool is used to create them ? |

Why would you still want Acid Express on your computer if you have Acid Pro 3.0? The 8 packs are in the resident format for any 3.0...I myself keep both Acid pro 3.0 and 4.0 on the same computer...but there are reasons for that. |

I've got Acid Music 3.0, Acid DJ (Style) 3.0 AND Acid Pro 2.0 on the same computer without ever having had any problems... God only knows WHY I still have multiple versions on there. Laziness, I guess! David. |

I've got Acid Pro 3&4 installed in the same folder meaning the Sonic Fondry Folder never a problem. I've always kept at least two versions Pro 2&3 now Pro 3&4 |

To answer the original question, no, you shouldn't be able to have both XPress 3.0 and Pro 3.0 on the same machine at the same time, unless you're doing something like a dual boot perhaps. Xpress, Style, Music and Pro 3.0 all use the same registry key location for the license and only one can be active, so it's an either/or situation. I'm not sure how David K. has Music and DJ on the same machine at the same time, but am intrigued. :) As far as RasKeita having 3.0 and 4.0 installed to the same directory (or did you mean in separate subdirectories of the same directory?), that may be a little risky (especially if you uninstall one version), but if you're not having any problems, I'll just keep quiet. :) Joel |
