Subject:uploading song error message Posted by: sonicepiphany Date:11/30/2002 6:04:01 PM i just tried to upload a song on Acid Pro 4 for the first time. it was my first upload since i switched my connection from cable to DSL.ACID HELP FAQs SAID TO TRY Power cycling the cable modem. that did not work.i do not think the cable modem is the problem because i could still upload from acid music 3.0 using the cable modem.i tried to upload several different song files and i got the same error message so it was not that partcular song file. ACid will not let you upload a RA or MP3{like they used to) until first loaing a .wma. so i can not upload my song at all now. this was the error message: An error occured while creating the media file .wma. Error occured Oxc00dobc2 (message missing) ////// when i first started uploading last february i could not get the windows media player to play someone elses song let alone be able upload one of my songs in .wma. if it was not for RA and MP3 i would not have been able to upload the 6 songs i posted in feb and march until april.and it was not just me.lots of people had that problem. and dave told me to call microsoft support. it took about 2 months and only because so many people had the same problem that acid fixed the WM problem. MSFT sucks, but SF has to take care of their own dirty laundrey. any one here know how to solve this technical problem? well,i guess SF does not care if i post my songs here any more. guess i will have to go to vitaminic or some other site.i am not gonna wait 2 months again for them to straighten the problem out. sorry i rambled on,but this a forum for technical problems and it is a technical problem if SF does not help you solve your technical problem

Do you have Windows XP.....and Service Pack 1 installed?

You will need to DL this file posted by Sonic Foundry many times.....courtesy of MS, and most recently re-posted by a VV user, as it affects both VV3 & AP4.
