making more than 1 CDR

brokenrecords wrote on 11/17/2002, 6:47 PM
Anyone else experience this?
I burn one CD and want to burn another..
I take the completed CDR out, place another blank CDR in, click YES, the new CD goes in, it starts the process, stops, then spits the CD back out asking for a fresh CD.. I push the tray back in with the same CD, click YES again and it starts to burn.

Any idea why it would be doing this?

anyone from Sonic Foundry able to give me a clue as to why this would be happening?
Thanks!

I'm not sure why this would happen. Perhaps it's a timing issue with the "disc insert" notification message from Windows.

What I have found is if you click yes almost right after the drawer closes it will do this. It stopped doing it completly to me when I started waiting a few seconds after the drawer closed. I usually now wait till the drive light goes out.

Hope this helps.

I tried that as well, but it still spits the CDR out... I have to push it back in and click yes again, and then it starts to burn. Strange.

Seems to work fine if I enable Eject CD after completed....
I think I found my answer.

Do you have auto-insert notification on in Windows? Do yo have and Direct CD type software running?
