Hi I m new here, maybe someone can help me out. I have Acid Pro 2.0 and the time cursor is out of sync, at the begining of a project it jumps ahead and remains 2-3 second ahead of what is heard and shown on the monitor. Also, after about a minute the cursor just stops while the music keeps playing. I tried there support but the are closed for the holiday weekend.

I am opereating win 2000 professional, amd 500mhz processor with 256 mb ram and using soundblaster live. I did a reformat about a month ago so everything is very current, this problem started about 2 weeks ago.

I uninstaled and reinstalled and did an update to no avail, I did download Acid Pro 4.0 demo and it works fine so I dont think it is the sound card.

I did mess with the prefferences but it made no diff.

Any advise would be appreciated.

When installing and uninstalling doesn't fix a problem, usually it means that something has messed up the Acid entries in the registry. Messing with the registry is always a little scary because you can really screw things up. I'd recommend waiting for Sonic Foundry tech support to come back to work and let them help you.

If you really must forge ahead on your own, you'd need to uninstall Acid, run regedit, search for lines with the word "Acid" in them, make sure they are related to the Acid program, delete the whole lines related to the Acid program, then reinstall Acid. This is less scary in Windows XP where you have a "go back in time" option than it is in Windows 2000 where I don't believe you do.

DY,

Have you updated the drivers for the SBLive! yet? The default SBLive! drivers have given me trouble with all sorts of software in the past. Nothing specific, but there were definately some issues with them.

Try downloading and installing the latest update for your drivers from this location:
