Subject:Acid won't render flangers when using FX automation

When I use flangers with FX automation, the flanger won't render...
When I choose Render loop region only and the flanger effect starts at the beginning of the loop, it works... but not if I render the whole song.
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be great.

Btw, I'm using Acid Pro 4.0a (build 237)

EDIT: hey it doesn't even work when I play the song from the beginning... weird

What Flanger are you using?
Is it a trk FX or Assn.Fx?

trk, "automatable"...

the one from sonic foundry called Flange/Wah-wah

it won't even work when i play the song from the beginning...
i've used automation on dry/wet controls to make the effect start after about two minutes, and it works if i start playing at that point or a bit before, but not if i play from the beginning.

I assume there must be something I can do...?

hmph i dunno...

but you could try to move the whole project so it starts with bar 5 for example... (choose gird snapping to measures, then go to "edit" -> "select all", and then drag the highlighted tracks to the right)

would be kinda weird, but maybe acid needs some time to calculate the automation,
and is causing problems if the automations starting at the very beginning...i have a similar problem with a certain soft synth, but im still tryin to solve that problem...

nah, that didn't help...
it's really weird, because i have a lot of other effects on automation and they work perfect.

hmm discovered today that sometimes the flanger works, but it's a few bars behind (=it starts too late)...

guess what. since i only use the automation to start the effect, i'll just load the same sample in another track and use flanger on that one without automation. works fine if i do it that way.
