When using a new update (eg SV v6 update b to d) Is it necessary to first remove Vb prior to loading Vd, or does it not matter.

I've seen the answer to this posted by SoundForge that you can install the next update over the last here. If you don't trust me you could search using somthing like "update" and probably find the post.

Update directly over your existing installation. The pluses of using this method are that you don't lose your settings, and you don't need to re-register after installation. However, this is not supported when using beta versions of SF apps. Betas should be uninstalled first before installing a newer build.
