I'm going crazy here. I've used Cubase SX for a while and it works just fine with my config. I thought I would give AP4's MIDI a try but I just can't seem to configure it right... I have a Motif 8 keyboard and a Triton-Rack. They are both running into a Unitor 8 MIDI bay. The Triton-Rack is Device 01 (On port 1) and the Motif is Device 02 (On port 2). The Motif (device 02) sends MIDI data THRU to the Triton Rack (Device 01). Sounds simple, right? I can only get AP4 to control one or the other. I can't switch between devices. I've literally spent 5 hours here at work on it with every possible config. I give up. What am I doing wrong? |

Where's GeneralMIDI? Did you sort this out yet GeneralMIDI? If it works in Cubase, it will work on AP4. At least it does here. I have ssssort of the same configuration. Two multi timbral rack units and a synth keyboard. AP4 so far has been doing a pretty good job as "Commander" of all 3 units :)using many MIDI channels. Once you get your Options/MIDI pref's set up in AP4, then it should just be a matter of setting up that Unitor 8. When you mention "Device 02 (On port 2)" for example, are you talking Unitor 8 settings? CaptainWierdNoise |
