Subject:recording drum MIDI to pc?

I have been trying to transfer midi information from my electronic preccussion system to my pc through Acid 3.0. When I play back, all I get are sounds of the drum sticks clicking...The high tom should sound differant that the floor tom, there are no pitch changes. Can any one help in this matter.

Maybe you can give these guys some more info on your set up.
The question fascinates. Almost sounds like you're transmitting on an "Auxillary" MIDI channel, which might only allow for "Note ON/OFF" - no velocity or other MIDI cntlr data.
Maybe a MIDI filter is enabled?

Is it possible Acid can't work with MIDI drums?
How do those things work? Does each drum PAD get it's own MIDI channel? Voice assignment?
Do ya have another app that this works with? Sequencer maybe?
