Subject:AP 4.0 hangs when recording using Audophile 2496

I recently installed the Audiophile 2496 so I can record guitar tracks directly from my POD Pro w/ S/PDIF output. When I go to record the entire computer hangs, and there is no out but to turn off and reboot. This never happened with my SoundBlaster card, and I was using a simple analog input (but was very dirty signal). Are their any users with similar configurations? I'm using XP and my sound card works just fine with everything else.

Do you have the latest beta drivers from M-Audio's website? That could make a big difference. Also, are you using ASIO or Classic Wave drivers? Also, do you still have the Soundblaster in your system?
