Subject:voice enhancer?

i have a few songs recorded but with no singing. i was wondering, since i suck at singing, if acidpro or sound forge have any kind of voice enhancer? if not, does anyone know where i can get one? also, whats the proper name? thanks. later.

Well SF has Chorus, Reverb & Acoustic Mirror, delay, Compression (Dynamics and WaveHammer) and EQ. All of these can be used to enhance/disguise vocals.

After recording the vocals try experimenting with the presets in them one at a time to get an idea of what each does then set up a chain with say compression > reverb > EQ.

First of all, if you have any musical talent, then you probably suck a lot less than you think. Don't be scared of your own voice ... rather than dropping hundreds of dollars on a plug-in or device that will disguise your voice, drop a couple of hundred on a few singing lessons. You will be surprised at what you might find out about your singing ability.

You might want to check Antares Autotune. This is a plug-in that tries to tune a sound, making a recorded voice that is slightly detuned onto a nice tuned singing. If you tweak the parameters you can even get that nice effect that Cher used on her music where she sang "do you believe in love after love".
