I'm confused Ladies and gentlemen -ACID Product Family

I have acid 4.0a,soundforge 6.0, cubase vst that was bundled with echo mia card and I have alesis studio 24 mixing board. I extracted original music from a cd, did edit in soundforge. I connected the two analog outs of my sound card to tracks 1&2 on my mixing board and I am able to hear my tune in stereo as well as loops from acid thru my board. But I can't record any overdubbs. Also, I can't hear or see anything in cubase. What is the correct connections to be able to: record, overdubb, edit, mix and burn to cd. Or should I consider some other setup? I think I've heard of someone using the s/pdif out of the Lexicon MPX 100???? I have that too. Gracias Amigas y Amigos!
