Subject:midi keyboard

iv had acid 4.0 for about 3 months now and have just bought a midi keyboard im having lots of fun playing about with this program BUT i cant connect my midi keyboard can some 1 point me in the right direction .it must just be something i missed off some button i forgot to press or something please help

I'd be glad to assist. Need a bit more info. Is the MIDI controller already connected to your puter? If so, how? Do you have any soft synths (VSTi). How is the MIDI configured? If I guess correctly, you've already got the MIDI output on your keyboard, going to MIDI input on your computer. Have already installed software (drivers). Open Acid>options>preferences>MIDI>check boxes next to available devices, (Make these devices available for MIDI input, you can also check the boxes if you want MIDI output)>VST Instruments>Browse for alternate VSTi locations>check the boxes to make them available>Apply>OK.Close options>Open Mixer>select insert soft synth> select synth from box>enable Realtime MIDI,enable External MIDI Input Port select correct device, Enable soft synth. There you go...Level Vibes
