Subject:How do you add external synths to your tracks?

I don't have external synths, but I have a Creamw@re pulsar2 card with onboard DSP that generates my synths. I can record and play the synths from within Acid, but when I want to mixdown, the audio from the synths are not passed through the Acid engine. And if I try to record the synths as audio, the recorded midi part goes offline... hence the synth is quiet. Of course I could play the synth live and record the audio, but I thought there would be a better way?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Lars

The first part of your statement is true. There is no way for ACID to access the synth for rendering. Like an external synth, the audio must be recorded seperatly.

If you have trouble with your MIDI track going offline, try unchecking the "Close media files when ACID is not the active application" box in the General tab of the ACID preferences. Does that help?

Thanks, that did the trick. An aux bus for external gear would be nice though, but maybe that's something to hope for in Vegas 4 instead?
