Subject:Incorporating Acid & Vegas

I've edited a movie in Vegas some time ago but I'd like to turn the soundtrack into 5.1 using Acid. Can I do that in a way other than to save every single track as a .wav/mp3 file and then opening it in Acid?

yes and no.

yes: you could mix everything down into one Wav file, but then you wouldnt be able to add effects and properly adjust the volumes of each track.

no: as i said above, its suggested that you export each track as its own Wav file that way you can work on volume, effects and panning if needed.

All signs seem to indicate that Vegas 4 will be arriving over the winter sometime and that it will include 5.1 surround mixing. So if you're not in a huge hurry, you might want to see what V4 has when it arrives.
