Subject:metadata inside the file? Posted by: xxjojoxx Date:11/18/2002 12:51:07 AM i added another marker & region to my track.....when i hit save, the following windows appeared...."Unable to save all metadata inside of the file"..Would you like to save it in an external file?" i clicked yes once before & it saved...will i always get this window whenever i add a marker or region? thank you joe

Reply by: SonyTSW Date:11/20/2002 1:22:49 AM You will see that message whenever you save to that particular format and you are including the metadata (markers and regions) in the save, and the data you are saving has markers and/or regions. Some output formats can handle saving metdata internally in the file; others have no provision for this so metadata is stored in a separate file that has a .sfl extension. Just make sure that you keep this .sfl file together with your output file if you copy it elsewhere, otherwise you'll lose the associated metadata.
