Has anyone else noticed a corruption in the display of the play meters in 6.0d? I have them congifured to fill the entire top width of the work space screen, as thin as possible to still show both the left and right channels. In 6.0, before updating to 6.0d, there was no problem. After updating to 6.0d, every time I re-open the program the play meters are all squashed, and I have to drag the bottom down to get them to display properly.

they will not corrupt if you leave them vertical. it has to do with the wideo card or refresh rate or both. sounds like the display is unable to refresh fast enough.

Funny. They didn't corrupt when I had them horizontal, using 6.0, with the same 'weirdo' card and refresh rate. They only corrupted after 'upgrading' to 6.0d. You think THAT might have something to do with it?

Same thing happened - after updating to 6.0d, position of playmeters are corrupted...

Well now. One would think that a reputable company would at the very least acknowledge and respond to customers who bring legitimate issues - especially ones that should be readily verifiable with even a little bit of effort put forth - wouldn't one? Even an inquiry, such as: "Can you send us a screenshot of exactly what you're talking about?", might at least give customers the impression that the company is genuinely interested in improving the bugs in their own products. For example, I just noticed that when I opened up 6.0d, the entire bottom half of the play meter area was acting like a clear window, revealing exactly what was on the screen directly behind it. If anyone has ever used Grabzilla, a screenshot grabbing tool, it looks exactly like their window that is designed to do that - you drag it until you can see exactly the area you want to make a screen shot of (assuming you only want/need a portion of the screen and not the entire screen) then you click a button and you have a screen shot. That's exactly what this looks like.

And granted, while this is not the official Sound Forge tech/help desk, it IS their help forum, it IS monitored, yet I have often seen posts routinely ignored.
So be it. Maybe somehow, using the old 'grassroots' methodology, we'll be able to solve this and other problems as well.

Again, the forums are primarily a facility for users to exchange information with each other. Bugs or unresolved problems should be reported to tech support.

Having said that, this is a known drawing bug in 6.0d (introduced by a different fix and caught too late) and will be resolved in the next update. In the meantime, slightly re-sizing the docking window will refresh the area properly.

At least you got a response. Go to cubase.net and count how many "responses" their users get when they report a bug [ = none].

I love the logic, there, SHTUNOT. I can see you are someone who relishes in pain, then licks your wounds with the salty satisfaction that someone else further down the road is hurting even more than you. Here ya go, my friend, have a little more salt. It's on me.

Yeah, 'dude', I got what you meant. Apparently, however, you didn't get what I meant. So let me help you out: (Which way did you come in?) I wasn't asking for your apologetic excuses or your self-proclaimed drama reviews; I was addressing a chronic problem here, and your irrelevant input as to what is or isn't going on at other sites is just that - irrelevant. If you have something directly related to the topic, fine; if not, exit stage left from your own drama routine.
