I just downloaded the demo. These OPT midi plugins are the future of Acid, midi wise at least.

The demo is working great with my 4.0a. Now I just need to learn how to get the most out of it. Shoot, I don't get paid for another three weeks.... It's a three-day demo, folks, so be sure to install it at the end of your work week...those who have day jobs, anyway.

this app needs a new total professional revue of its midi side or an all in one
great opt that replaces all of the the half baked pile of midi rubbish designed
by so fo what i dont need is to have to buy a plug for quantizing that was deficient by design /non design in the first place acid pro! dont make laugh
this should be part of any pro product in 2002, it was available in apps from the late 80s early 90s so why not now
how i miss my atari

MIDI has to fit into ACID's paradigm, a point some seem to be missing...I never thought of ACID as a complete MIDI sequencer and neither should anyone else, in the same vein that SONAR shouldn't be thought of as a loop-based music tool (which would explain why many users use both together).

md you are still being so fo s apologist that must be the umpteenth time youve used
paradigm ENOUGH! acid can and will work with midi just fine within said paradigm, many use both sonar and acid because the design of the midi is poor in a4 nothing whatsoever to do with paradigm you just cant or wont see that and i for one am sick to death of your condesending attitude, stick to helping people who need advice on usage your apologist stance is lacking in clear vision, stop looking at a4 through rose tinted glasses, a4 in real terms stinks if it was good sonar sales would drop dramatically
i personnally dont think its that good but the toytown implematation in a4 is worse
for gods sake you need a degree in lateral thinking just to stop the dls playing just piano its just bad design nothing more it can be fixed just employ the people
who specialise in midi +vstis to write the code and stuff your paradigm!
cos its not what im and others(if they are not censored)are talking about, the implementation and bad design are
america the land of the free god bless it!

I can't believe we are STILL complaining about the OPT plugins!!! If midi isn't up to your "level" in AP4 then look elsewhere. What more can be said. Though if you look at AP4's features minus OPT+VSTi's IMHO its STILL worth the old $149 upgrade price. Thats just my opinion,I could be wrong ;) [god I miss dennis millers show r.i.p.]. Ripping on md is just plane wrong. Its just as bad as ripping on maruuk for being depressed all the time. MD stated a fact thats very valid in its context and for the upteenth time your missing the point.

All will be well when a third party plugin manufacturer like musiclabs or genevoice sees the demand and fills in the gap like audio plugin manufacturers did prior.

How about some constructive behavior for once...Lets all go to both plugin vendors and go nuts emailing them our suggestions for a "ideal" best of both worlds midi opt plugin we would like to see for the new year. Please send your constructive ideas to:

http://www.musiclab.com/index.htm

http://www.genevoice.com/

Show them the demand and they WILL build it.

BTW...nobodys trying to censor anybody. Its just that we've heard this arguement over...and over...and over...and over...and over...and over...and over again that its wearing thin already. Some users are just trying to get the rest of us to see a point that WE ALREADY GET!!! We all understand your point but don't agree with you...so that makes us bad people? No. Does that make you a bad person? No. We all just have to calm down and work with what we got and if thats not good enough then there are a ton of alternatives for you to seek out. I for one recommend you try Sonar 2.1XL. I have it and use it mainly for my reason 2.0 work...THATS IT. Looping...AP4...Mixing...Vegas.

Musicians have been writing hits for decades without even THIS much versatility in thier hands.

Screaming about why you keep bumping into a wall while the door is directly to your left and complaining about it loudly isn't going to help you any ;) .

Have a great evening all.

shut my good man i have sonar im not really that keen it doesnt really fit my paradigm!
if you are using it mmmm should i say good for you not really because a4 should really satisfy all your needs looping midi synths i know its capable of it
your only really using sonar because of the bad implementation of those features
were they well implemented would you still use sonar i dont think so. if you only use it for reason then surely you are a prime candidate for maruuks rewire option
i really would love it too i wish one the real /pro audio companies would make a great opt that would totally replace the midi by mattel (available in toy stores near you)in acid4 but so far all it seems to be a bit and bobs type with little real use except for a dollar bleed on your pockets

BTW...nobodys trying to censor anybody
shutnot i ask you if sofo staff remove critical/non abusive posts that
they do not like then that that my friend is censorship like it or not it and it happensmore than you think and it stinks just like a4 stability
america land of the free i think not

I'm gonna start bugging this Genevoice company every day to come up with an Opcode Vision-like sequencer OPT plugin.

This way, both Sonar and SoFo users can benefit! (I enjoy many things about Sonar, but I think their piano roll could still use a lot of work.) What better way to hedge your bets than by having a MIDI editor you can use with Cakewalk and SoFo (just in case any of them puts out an unbearable revision, or (heaven-forbid!) goes under).

Who's with me? ; )
