Okay, okay, I know it's not a new problem... This is what I get when I try to reinstall Acid. I had up to Acid 3.0, (build d) and copied it to a CD, uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. Nothing. I've been sitting here for 2 weeks waiting for tech support to tell me something. I know they're busy, but c'mon, HELP!! Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

That's wierd! Uninstall Acid(again), delete all Acid folders and Acid Set Up folders, perform a Windows search for Acid. Clean the registry, reboot. DOWNLOAD Acid from SF to....the desktop, and install from there. It sounds like you may have deleted something important, or it didn't uninstall properly. This may require a phone call to SF. From the SF Knowledge base: Summary: Troubleshooting Errors: "Unable to determine previous installation's directory". Issue: Why do I receive the error message "Unable to determine previous installation's directory" when installing Sonic Foundry software? Solution: You are seeing this error because there are Windows registry settings left over from a previous install of the product that need to be removed. Please contact Sonic Foundry Technical Support for assistance. |

_EchoHawk_ This is an error message that really should only happen in much older builds of our software. Have you tried downloading the 3.0g update for ACID 3.0 and installing just from that download? You certainly shouldn't see this error message with that install. Nate |
