Subject:adding extra info to ur final mp3 files

i wanna add the author name, copy right info, song name, etc.... to the mp3 file. so when i play it using media player or winamp or something, it all shows up.

i tried it using the SUMMARY button when u go to SAVE AS, and ya it does work. but it only saves the song name, and author name.

then i upload it to the net, and i download it on my work computer, and the info doesn't show up. when i see other people's mp3's on the net, they got all the info filled in properly.

i know its got something to do with id3 tags. just how do i work it properly using Sound Forge? (i'm using SF 5.0)

thanks

Two things you can do.

1) If you used the summary dialog, in the Save As dialog, be sure that "Save metadata with file" is checked. Note that summary info not supported by id3 or mp3 will not be saved inside the file, but in a supporting .sfl file.

2) If you want to keep the same/similar info for multiple saves, in the Save As dialog, select mp3, then select the Custom button and add your information to the ID3 tab, then save the template itself, then click OK to select it, then Save.
