After researching the Panasonic ag dvx 100 I found that I can get true 24 frames into vegas after converting with a program called DVfilmaker.
After researching DVfilmaker I found brief instructions for settings and have listed them below for reference.
My question is : what settings do I use in vegas to do 24p widescreen?...I dont see the 23.976 as an option...and I want to do the sound in acid 4.0 so does Acid 4.0 have the 48048 sample rate needed?....If not does Vegas have this Sample rate....any help or tips is greatly appreciated.
Brief Instructions on dvfilm website:
To use the program, shoot with the DVX100 in Advanced 24P, or 2:3:3:2 pulldown mode. Capture through FIrewire to a Quicktime or AVI file. Open the raw footage with DVFilm Maker. Select processing options in the 24P Options popup. Make sure the "2:3:3:2 pulldown to 24P" or the "2:3:3:2 pulldown to 23.976P" options are selected. Start processing.
When processing is completed, exit DVFilm Maker and open the New Movie file with your editing program (vegas video of course). Make sure your timeline is set to 23.976 (aka 23.98) or 24 fps as appropriate. For 24 fps, the audio rate must be set to 48048." end quote
48048....uh in vegas how do you set the audio rate...I found the 24p button but wich template and pixel ratio do I use?
Finished product will be a true 24p widescreen dvd in dolby ac3 surround sound (acid4.0 and ac3plug in)
And finished product will be print to film destined for the movie theater and film festivals.
Thanks alot guys......ASTRAL
