I am a new user to Acid Pro and I am testing out Vsampler with it. Is any one using Vsamp or are there better alternatives? Thanks, d2leo |

I'm using Acid's own DLS synth by translating and programming from Awave Studio. It's a little akward, but it sounds as good as anything else, and the CPU usage is a fraction of what any of the other softsamplers is. It may sound like I'm exaggerating but I'm not. The CPU usage is maybe 1/10 that of VSampler, Kontact or Halion! I don't even use any of the other virtual samplers anymore because of how much they tax my lowly PIII 1.1. As far as VSampler goes, it does a comparable job to Kontact or Halion. Laurence Kingston |

Im using Kontakt in Acid 4.0a, its very easy to use. Go to the Native Instruments web page and check out the videos of Knotakt. You also get 4 CD-Roms of samples. George |

The only problem with vsampler is that it only allows 1 instance at a time. |

Yes But why when you can use up to 16 instruments in one instance of Kontakt? George |

That's true the number of instances is irrelevent. Kontakt samples from disc also? Thanks Phil |
