Subject:Sync AP4 w/Vegas Audio LE?

Hey there. I was just wondering if anyone has tried to sync up AP4 to any of the Vegas family via the Virtual Midi Router. I was thinking of trying to run both simultaneously since AP is not really geared for hard disk recording. My question is this... would there be an improvement in the performance of AP if I was to not try using it for multiple "Beatmapped" "Disk" tracks and instead synced it up to Vegas Audio LE and let Vegas handle the disk tracks and let AP do it's thing, or would it just be too much strain on my cpu? I suppose I could just try it, but I am curious as to others experience with this matter. thanks, Luces |

I have not tried to sync them. What I do is render my (drum)loop arrangement in Acid to a new wave and just drag it into Vegas and do my recording there (Acid-4 & Vegas-3). I tend to use my applications for what I consider to be their strong points. Acid = looping Vegas = recording/mixing Forge = surgical audio-work Sonar = midi/DXIs Gigastudio = instrument samples Erik |
