What's the deal with Acid Music 3.0?? -ACID Product Family

Subject:What's the deal with Acid Music 3.0?? Posted by: jm_otto Date:11/6/2002 8:21:33 PM I was told that with this program I would be able to record my own music, put them on CDs, and sell them. I can't even figure out how to record my own voice with a stupid microphone with this program, much less how to combine a wav file with my vocals with a midi or mp3 instrumental file to use as the background music. If this is the wrong program for that, what the heck program do I need to buy? I don't need to do anything fancy. Just create music. With my computer, you can only make recordings of yourself on the wav format. Apparently the wav format is useless, and everything is on mp3. What kind of computer do I need to buy where you can actually make recordings of yourself on mp3 and such AND THEN EDIT THEM OR MIX THEM WITH OTHER RECORDINGS? Please, I beg you, just tell me what software to buy!!!!

Reply by: anon Date:11/7/2002 2:10:19 AM Well Acid Music will let you record your own music and put them onto CD, but I don't think it will help you sell it, you need the marketing plug-in for that ;). What specific problems are you having? Maybe give some detail about how you are trying to record, and we could help you figure out what you are doing wrong.

If you want to SELL these CDs, you'll need alot more than a microphone,AM 3.0, and mp3 files!! First, read up on digital audio so you have a better understanding of what you're using (mp3 format is NOT the way to go to get commercial quality recordings). Check out the tutorials listed above, check out www.studiocovers.com, and get to know how to use Acid Music. You just can't expect to buy a microphone(what quality??)and Acid Music and think you'll be able to start selling CDs of your work. Check out www.acidplanet.com to see what is doable with this software, see the quality of the projects, and realise that ALOT of work went into these songs. So, are you prepared to put alot of work into your projects??? M
