Subject:Kontakt won't show up as a VSTi

I can’t get Kontakt to show up as a VSTi. I set the path to Kontakt.dll, but it doesn’t show up in the list of instrument to be available.

DirectiXer sees it and sets it up without problem.

Had the same problem. Solved it by uninstalling Acid and Kontakt, and then installing Acid and Kontakt (in that order).

There shouldn't be a specific order that you needed to install in. I have installed both ways and it's worked fine. You probably just needed to do Peter's registry trick, as Kontakt "blew up" the first time it was indexed and was no longer being rescanned.

I take that back. Now it shows up, but no sound...

Well, try messing about with Kontakt, reinstall, update it, etc. The problem has to be with the VSTi. I used Kontakt a lot during the testing process and I'm sure that it works fine in ACID.
