In response to your advice to my post (and I thank-you for that) I did download both vocals. Should I download the Acid 3.0 program file as well does that have loops too perhaps the ones I am missing ? Why do I need that program file anyways. And about using acid 3.0 for projects in 2.0 for some odd reason I can't locate these projects I did when in 3.0. I can't find them at all and I can't use the loops disc for 2.0 in 3.0 is sooo weird cause I know I am doing it correctly or atleast I think I am. I do I pull them up as well as my other project made in 2.0? -K |

You should indeed download the "ACID 3.0 Project File", as it contains loops not available in the other packs. You can just ignore the ACD file if you want, as it just showcases the loops in that pack. Weird about 2.0 projects not showing up. SoFo's been using the ACD file format ever since when, so if you installed ACID 3.0, ACID 3.0 should have taken over the ACD file association. Try using the Open command and under the Files of type field, try All Files (*.*). HTH, Iacobus |

You could. ACID 3.0 has a better-sounding audio engine vs. 2.0 anyway. ACID 4.0's is even better than 3.0's. If you do decide to uninstall 2.0, be sure to reinstall 3.0. HTH, Iacobus |

so I can't keep acid 2.0 as well as 3.0 i can have one or the other I am just afraid I will totally lose my projects made in 2.0. I'll try to find them somehow. No i have to reinstall 3.0 if I uninstall 2.0 ? Why? What will happen to the project I've already made in it ? As well as the things that I've down loaded off of acid planet will they still exist ? |

You don't have to uninstall ACID 2.0. Even if you do uninstall ACID 2.0, you shouldn't need to do anything with respect to reinstalling your ACID 3.0 setup. If you open a 2.0 project in ACID 3.0, make sure to save it with a different name. Otherwise, you won't be able to open it in ACID 2.0 anymore. HTH, Joel |

If anything, just be sure you know where your existing ACD projects are. I severely doubt uninstalling ACID 2.0 or 3.0 will delete them. Everything should basically be fine, even if 2.0 and 3.0 were uninstalled. The ACD project files would remain. You simply just wouldn't be able to open the ACD projects because there'd be no program associated with them. (Since ACD files are proprietary, the only program that can open them is ACID.) If you reinstalled ACID 3.0 at that point, the ACD file format should reassociate itself with ACID 3.0, even if they were created in ACID 2.0. You should then be able to open ACD files in ACID 3.0. be sure to install each version in it's own directory. |

It certainly couldn't hurt to try. Like ramone said, if you decide to have both ACID 2.0 and 3.0 installed, be sure they're both in their own folder. HTH, Iacobus |
