Subject:Any Other .WAV Preview Options?

I don't always wan't to preview my audio files as loops in the explorer. Sometimes you want to hear the file in it's original state. Can you preview any other way (besides selecting a different player)? Along the same lines, when I double click I don't want it to be a loop. How do I default them to one-shots after double clicking??

Try changing the settings at Options/Prefs/Audio/ "Open files as loops if between"

You could right-click in the Explorer window and select Explore Current Folder. This will open up the current folder in Windows Explorer and allow you to take a look at WAV's using the program associated with it, which is typically Windows Media Player or Winamp. Such players will take the loop at face value, without any stretching.

In 4.0, when I right-clicked on a file in Explorer, it would offer me a selection of file types to load it as (one-shot, beatmapped, loop). Since I installed 4.0a, it doesn't do that anymore. I liked having the choices. Is there a setting somewhere I need to set differently to restore the right-click/choice thing?

right-clicking alone has never done that, afaik. if you right-drag a file from the acid explorer onto the timeline, it will give the options...
