hi,

I was working with acid earlier tonight and I experience a slow down/stuttering bug while playing back my song.
it only happen during this one section and I've already check to see if I accidently playing any tempo marks and nothing.

this only happens if I play the song from the beginning, if I play the song 3 or 4 measure before the stuttering section it would play fine.

I've already updated to 4.0a and defraged my hard drive and it didn't help at all.

my spec:
----
P4 1.8 ghz
win xp pro
echo mia sound card

thanks

If anything, try restarting/rebooting your system.

You're either taxing your RAM or CPU. I'm running a pretty weak system (PIII 500Mhz, 256 RAM), but I have the identical problem and it seems directly related to my system resources. If I have too many one-shots and effects going, the CPU shoots through the roof and I get stutters from hell. Likewise when I start getting around 12-15 loops and my RAM gets above 30/256, the time counter slows and it stutters. Both just as you described, only if played for a long enough time, usually from the begining. I had similar problems in Acid 3, but I could have a lot more tracks going before I got stutters.

Which ones, and how are they used? i.e. Tracks, busses, or Assignable FX?

Also, are you using MIDI and any specific VSTis?

Peter
