Subject:If u know anything about music production......Read this!

I have Acidpro 3.0 and I record my vocals to instrumentals.
I am new to this and would just like to know what are
the correct Assignable Fx's to use to make a professional
sounding vocal recording when played back mixed with an instrumental.
If there isnt just one good well known setting of Assignable Fx's,
what are your opinions on the best combination of Assignable Fx's
and their settings??????
Like Reverb,Chorus Echo,Flange,Distortion....stuff like that...
whats the best combination u(u as in, anybody that reads this post)
think or know of to use when recording vocals and trying to make a
song.

Well that's 100% subject matter, personally I like a natural sounding vocals with not much effects & processing.

For me the most important tool to get a sound I want is the microphone. I purchased Neumann TLM-103 couple of years ago and haven't regret that day.

Typically I compress the vocal track a little (2:1 or 3:1). Nowadays I have played with my new tool iZotope Ozone, which seem to give me nice compression + other set of tools, which may be usefull. I have to test it further. Note however that I don't process the vocals much, just give it little polishing.

My mic is an audio-technica ATR3 0. Its probably a crappy one cuz my vocals
just dont mix with the instrumental well. Oh Well, Thanks
