Subject:RE: Creating stereo music Reply by: Cold Date:10/30/2002 8:28:13 PM yes and no, by creating reverb tracts for the stereo channels and combining and filtering for the center channel you could create a surround mix from a stereo track but it wouldn't be true surround mix. You're better off starting from the original tracks-drums, bass, guitar, vox, and remixing the whole thing. If you only have the stereo mix, take in into a multitrack program, and mess with the left and right channels until you create something interesting. I've tried this and it sort of works but not nearly so well as starting with your original tracks. Have fun.
