ACID can generate MTC and MIDI clock but cannot chase. It can also be triggered via MTC. HTH, Iacobus |

Has anyone successfully triggered ACID Pro 4.0a via MTC from a sequencer on a separate machine? I've fought with this for days. I can trigger Reason 2.0 without any problems on the same machine and off the same MIDI interface. ACID, on the other hand, does not respond. PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT RUNNING REASON AND ACID CONCURRENTLY IN THIS TEST. I quit one and then start the other. When I monitor "MIDI Time Code In" in ACID it says "Waiting..." indicating it never receives the MIDI start/stop from MTC. I have carefully configured the MIDI Input under Options/Preferences/Sync "Trigger from MIDI timecode settings" to use the same MIDI device as successfully tested in Reason. I have tried all of the "Frame Rate" choices under that area, too. And, I "Trigger from MIDI timecode" as instructed in the manual and in the various Knowledge Base articles on this site. Is this a known issue with 4.x? |

MTC does not generate a "start" or stop. Time code is just generated and ACID will lock to it. Are you sure that your master app is generating MTC and not MIDI Clock? What is the master sequencer on your seperate machine? Peter |
