I recently switched to an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 card and whenever I go to press record, Acid crashes 90% of the time. It's always when I'm in the record dialogue window. If I go to change my record settings it crashes too. I have the most recent drivers for my card.

128 MB RAM
Windows 98 SE
Intel motherboard

you definitely should consider more RAM, especially for what it's selling for these days. That might help.

Do you have the *beta* drivers from their site? You'd need to check the "show beta drivers" box in order to get them. Having 128MB of RAM shouldn't be the issue.

Also, are you using ASIO or Classic Wave drivers?

Actually, skip that. I just noticed you have 98SE, and I believe they don't have beta drivers for that OS. :|

Not only that, but the Win98 drivers are 4 something where as the Win2K and XP drivers are 5 something.

Hi Wesley,

Did you catch my response to your other post yet? Seriously consider what I suggested.

I'm getting XP Professional next week and I'm completely wiping my hard drive clean. Clean install, better OS...hopefully no more major problems.

The issue seems to happen more with the classic drivers but ASIO still gives me problems. I've downloaded the latest drivers for the Delta. Check out this thread on my other problems. Maybe they're linked.
