Subject:Acid 5.0--- Multiple tracks, and then you have the perfect app!

I just wanted to say that Acid 4 kicks ass, and is stable on my systems (which by the way are completely different yet both still work).

The only thing I wish it had to make it a complete multitrack/loop/VSTi production app is being able to arm multiple tracks for live recording, ala Vegas. Now that Vegas Audio is gone, how about adding that in there?

It would make my life complete. Well, the musical aspect of it anyway.

according to me acid must have some midi plugins sutch as arpeggiator ... should have a channel group so i can show (or not) a group of channel so it's more simple control the channel...
must support vst effects and not only generators...
and should hase mastering points sutch in Nero Burning Rom ...

Bye!!!

p.s. according to me Cubase works great with reason and Acid works great with Fruity Loops so it must sopport more fruity files...

p.s.2. sorry for my english....

Remember that ACID's paradigm is different from that of other apps such as Vegas, i.e., is was not ever meant to be a multitrack app in the traditional sense, despite what others think. There are users who are using ACID somewhat in that context (quite successfully), but SoFo designed ACID to be modular, just as Vegas and Sound Forge are. If you had all three, that is quite a combo.

This is my only problem with acid 4.0. I know this version as got some negitive comments, but I have had great ressults with it (after a clean instal of xp).

However when I first purchased the product I did so on the bassis of it being capable of multiple inputs and outputs. I do a lot of recording with multiple tracks so this was the first thing i checked on the specks page. I went to the comparison chart between acid 3.0 and 4.0 and right there at the bottom it said multiple input and output. Right away I ordered the product. To my frustration the program was multy output capable but not input capable!!

I emailed the tech support people and they apologized and said it was a missprint and they quickly changed it to its current state "Multiple sound card output".

This means if I am to use acid I have to use another program for recording and then import them into acid (a pain in the but). I have found uses for this product and I love its features and ease of use, but I must admit that every time it is time to start a new recording project I cringe and turn to ntrack for recording and most of the time the files stay right there to be mixed (although I do use the sofo effects extensively).

Ok, end of my complaints. I really do love the program, has been stable (no lock ups since clean instal a month ago), but I would love to have multi input, and would expect this to be a standard feature at this level of a program!
