There are many choices. For good descriptions of all of them look in Fruity help/contents/file formats/export file formats. The box you will definitely want to check to use the loops in acid is the "save ACIDized" one. Other than that it depends what you want to do. I use wave 32bit - seems to work OK for me. All the details are in the fruity help section, very good reading. Good Luck:) |

I always select "wrap remainder" so effects are continuous on loops - otherwise they can seem to end & restart abruptly. If you find Fruity runs in AP4 as a VSTi without problems then lucky you. Until AP4 is as solid as AP3 I I'm sticking with the AP3. I simultaneously run Fruity on ASIO drivers and AP3 on Wave. This works perfectly for me. I render wavs in Fruity and drop them straight into AP3. S |

I am very interested to find out if anyone has succesfully used Fruity 3.5 as a VSTi inside Acid4. Considering the woeful editing MIDI editing in Acid, this could be a very nice combo. Currently I use Orion Pro for generating MIDI loops (would be nice if they also truned it into a VSTi) and import these into Acid as an audio or MIDI loop. I would be very interested to hear back from positive Fruity3.5/Acid 4 users! |

Well, it works after a fashion. Fruity plays, stops and loops with Acid, but the timing is very slight out (about 20 samples at 48k.) Rendering a Fruity VSTi track(from within Acid) is horribly out of sync - like a couple of bars! Not so much of a problem if you use the sync to compose FLoops to go with your Acid project, render individual Floops from Floops and import them as tracks into Acid. There's a third problem with opening an Acid project with an embedded Fruity VSTi session in it: You get a file save dialogue when Fruity tries to open a saved loop from a previous session. If you hit cancel twice it carries on as it should. SoFo and ImageLine are aware of all three, and I hope we can expect to see fixed in 4.0b, but who knows... Hope they crack it cos its a killer combination. |

Second that ! When Fruity and Acid start singing together - reliably - then we can start celebrating. |
