Subject:dvd sound bites

I'm very new to this. Just purchased Sound Forge Studio 5.0. I work with The Movie Show on Radio and need to copy short sound bites from DVDs to CDs. I have a DVD drive and a CD ReWritable drive on the new computer. How do I do this?
