Recording with KX ASIO driver -ACID Product Family

As I play guitar into the Line in 2/mic 2 on the Live! drive, I can get an input signal recorded into Acid if I select the Windows classic wave driver in Properties/Audio tab. But if I select ASIO driver in Properties/Audio tab, I can't get the signal to record into acid (this would be a wav. file not a midi file...) Can I configure the KX driver settings to allow me to record a wav. file using the "ASIO Driver" instead of the "Windows Classic wave Driver"???? Or is this "ASIO Driver" listed in the Audio Properties tab only for recording a midi signal???.. HELP, KX users, please!!! Fresnog
