I just purchased 4.0 last week, and it has given me nothing but grief!! I am frustrated with the continual crashes that occur. It crashes so frequently I lose patience and leave the computer before I get any music laid down. I thought my problems would be lessened after I downloaded the first update, but no cigar..Almost everytime I press record, the hourglass appears, and it states "an error occurred during the current operation - An exception has occurred" then Acid crashes. Also It then won't recognize my soundcard until I reboot my computer. I currently have an echo mona sound card installed. Is there a known problem with this sound card. My other music application programs recognize it and use it without crashing..sound forge works fine. What am I doing wrong? I'm ready to chuck 4.0 and go back to 3.o... I emailed tech support and they told me to make sure my drivers are updated..but they are, I have the latest driver downloaded from the echo audio website...and have never encountered this problem on 3.0.. please help.... |

What chipset/cpu/mobo are you running? I'm running a KT133a with a Duron 700Mhz (don't laugh) and an Echo Mia with the 6.4 drivers, and I can't get the thing to crash. Rock solid. |
