Hello, I recently purchased Acid Pro 4.0 to upgrade my systems drum machine. As I was reading the manual, it stated that it will not chase MTC or MIDI clock. I run the Mackie D8B with the HDR 2496. If I were to run Acid as the master and the D8B/2496 as the slaves, how will that effect the use of the transport controls located on the mixer that I have really come to depend on? Thanks!! |

No expert on MIDI here, but using ACID as the master during a MIDI sync situation would basically nullify the transport controls on the mixer, wouldn't it? Iacobus |

You will loose the transport controls on the external devices. ACID will trigger to MTC, so this should work for you. Make sure that your audio card and the D8B are locked to a common clock source otherwise you will get drift. What type of audio card are you using? Peter |
