Subject:Acid 4.0a won't see Sound Forge 5

Has anyone had this problem? Every time I try to set Acid in the
list of editors, it never takes. I navigate to the Forge 5.0 folder,
click on the .exe file and nothing happens. I was trying Samplitude
for a while as a mastering/editing program and now going back to Sound
Forge I find that Acid can't see it. Vegas and Samplitude show up just
fine.

Any ideas?

Do you have Soundforge 6.0 or SoundForge Studio 6.0 installed? If you do I think Acid can't find other versions of SoundForge. I'm hoping this bug gets squashed with the next update.

Which OS are you on? I had a problem with SF starting and Acid seeing it under XP. Setting Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services-Terminal Services to Manual solved it.

No I don't have Sound Forge 6 of any kind.
I had the beta before but have since reformatted my
hard drive and wouldn't figure that to be a problem.

Is there something I'm missing?
I can't be the only one who has Acid 4.0
and Sound Forge 5.0.

I've no idea if this will help but under Options - Preferences- General have you checked 'Close Audio and MIDI Ports when ACID is not the active application' and under Options - Preferences - Editors have you checked 'Check For Sonic Foundry Editors'?

I have SoundForge 5.0F and Acid 4.0a can find it. I'm using Windows XP Pro and haven't needed to change any system settings to get Acid to find SoundForge.
