i got a little suggestion about the piano roll editor. if i click on a event and move it it should copy it when control is pressed. just like u can copy waves on a audio track.

but heres my problem. i can record midi from my keyboard, that works ok. i can play the midi in acid and it plays my keyboard... but i cant record and hear my keyboard at the same time, even if i enable realtime midi. i can even play a softsynth from my keyboard but not the keyboard itself looped through acid. can anyone maybe lead me to a solution? ;-)

Does your keyboard have a local control on/off setting? (What type of keyboard?)

You can either have ACID "thru" the input from your keyboard back to you keyboard or have your keyboard just play "locally" what you are playing at the keyboard.

To enable a thru, go to the MIDI preferencs page and set up the thru. An input is routed to many dest, while and output has a single source for a thru.

This will enable "realtime" midi thru.

For recording, you need to set the 'thru' destination to point to your external keyboard.
