Subject:Exception error when hitting stop/cancel after recording in 4.0a

I've got a problem that occurs 1 out of 5 times. When I record a track, hit stop or cancel, I get an exception error that shuts Acid down when I hit "OK". When I pull up Windows Task Manager Acid4.exe is still running in the background. If I try to force it to shut down, it won't. The computer will totally shut itself down after the process has been running in the background for a couple of minutes. I've tried both the Classic Wave Driver and ASIO and am getting the same results. I'm recording at 44Khz 24bit using an M.Audio Delta 66 with the beta ASIO "fixed" driver and USB Midisport 2x2 with latest drivers. Windows XP 512 Megs DDRam Athlon XP1600 Via K266a chipset with latest 4 in 1 drivers NVidia GForce II with latest drivers Segate Cheetah Ultra SCSI II hard drive Western Digital UDMA 128 GIG hard drive (for OS and audio samples) Anyone else having this problem or have any idea what in the name of hades is going on? |
