Apparently I Have A Lot Of Company

I sure hope that the sonic foundry folks are actually reading these posts. It seems that I'm not the only one that wants more control of fades and segues then cda5 supplies. I hope that I don't see any more posts from sonic foundry staffers referring to Vegas. I understand that audio and video are converging but what purpose does it serve to model your latest audio mastering program after a video program. If sonic foundry were leaning towards dvda mastering I could understand the Vegas look but this is supposed to be an audio application.

I'm sure SF read the forums rigorously, and take action where appropriate on them. I have seen over 4 suggestions that I've made incorporated into SF or Vegas .

I think you are dwelling on the relationship to Vegas thing way too much. The only problem here is that we need per-clip envelopes. This has nothing to do with CDA5 being based "too much on a video application". None of the elements of CDA5 are video related. Not one. It simply lacks one simple feature that CDA4 had... yet adds several more vital features. Let's ask for it and hope they are listening.
