I have Sound forge 6d build 219 on a Win XP Sp1 machine.

Every time I try to save a file into a WMA format I get this error message:

A error occurred while saving one or more files. Error 0xc00d0bc2(message missing)

Can someone tell how to fix this problem?

Did you recently install the beta Windows Media Player 9.0? It seems to be causing problems with our programs.

NO!, I think it's the XP serivce pack.

NO!, I think it's the XP serivce pack. The cd I bought has the service pack built in. I never had this problem before.

Yes, it appears to be the XP SP1 that is causing the problem. We are seeing this if SP1 is installed before any of our apps are installed (which unfortunately is always the case for you since SP1 is already incorporated into your WinXP CD).

We are working with Microsoft on this issue, they have been able to reproduce the problem as well. We will let you know as soon as we have a fix or workaround for this.

Just wanted to mention that I have Sound Forge 6.0d Build 219 and don't have any problems encoding in WMA with Windows XP SP1. Could be because I installed 6.0d after. I should note I updated to SP1 from the Windows Update site; I had the initial version of Windows XP beforehand.

I am having slight problems, like trying to use Sound Forge 6 to externally edit tracks in ACID Pro 4.0. The error message:

"An error occured while saving one or more files.

An error occured while reading the file. Make sure you have read access to
the file/folder and that it is not corrupted."

It's strange, as the changes are saved in ACID Pro 4.0, even though no waveform gets drawn for the file after saving in Sound Forge. Further edits also don't seem to give the error. Could this also be XP SP1 related?
